Margot at the Wedding - Jennifer Jason Leigh
Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nicole Kidman, and Jack Black star in a dramatic comedy by Academy Award®-nominated writer/director Noah Baumbach (”The Squid and the Whale,” “Kicking and Screaming,”) Entitled Margot at the Wedding, the movie is about how a woman, Pauline has to deal with the "support" of her visiting sister Margot at her wedding even though her sister doesn’t like her fiancé!
You can spot the signature Baumbachisms in every cringe-humor exchange, yet his skills as a writer and wrangler of actors have increased tenfold. Black’s believable manic manchild persona is used wisely, and Leigh delivers her typical brilliance in an Oscar® worthy bruised-peach performance. Kidman, hits a career high as well, brittle and needy, her Margot brings out the worst in everybody and the best in a actor who’s usually just called on to look glamorous or worried.
